March 2026
A Note from 2026 NAAR President Kristina Henson
Hi everyone! Happy almost April… which means… it’s Fair Housing Month!
Not to sound dramatic, but Fair Housing is kind of a big deal. It’s the foundation of what we do and a reminder that everyone deserves equal access to housing, no matter who they are, where they come from, or what their story looks like.
This is a great time to brush up on Fair Housing practices, check your language in listings and conversations, and make sure we’re all showing up as professionals who truly understand and uphold these standards. It’s not just about compliance, it’s about doing the right thing for our clients and our community.
We’ll also be sharing opportunities this month for Fair Housing education, so keep an eye out and consider attending or encouraging your agents to join in.
Thank you all for the work you do every day to serve our community with integrity (and for keeping each other on track when needed).
Also, Spring Conference is coming up this month! Are you registered??
Wishing you all a busy and successful spring!

EDI Scholarship Applications Open April 1st
NAAR is committed to fostering a real estate community that is welcoming, inclusive, and reflective of the diverse population we serve. As part of this effort, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee offers the EDI Scholarship, designed to support new and aspiring REALTORS® who demonstrate a strong commitment to Fair Housing, ethical practice, and advocacy within our industry.
This program awards two $1,500 reimbursement scholarships to help offset startup costs such as licensing and dues. Beyond financial need, applicants are evaluated on their dedication to ethical real estate practices, their vision for advocating on behalf of underrepresented communities, and their ability to communicate that vision with professionalism and purpose.
Applications open April 1. We encourage members to share this opportunity with anyone in your network who may be interested in pursuing a career in real estate and making a meaningful impact in our communities.

Thank you to our members for your support and participation to make this possible. By investing in your business and the REALTOR® voice, you help NAAR lead, protect, and shape the future of real estate in Northern Arizona.

NAR Launches New ‘Right By You’ Consumer Advertising Campaign
April is Fair Housing Month, a time to reflect on our history and renew our commitment to building thriving, inclusive communities. As REALTORS®, we are held to a higher standard through our Code of Ethics, which goes beyond state and federal law to ensure equal professional service for all, expand access to housing, and promote fairness in every transaction. This commitment guides how we serve our clients and helps strengthen the communities we’re part of.
“Right by You” is NAR’s newest national advertising campaign, designed to elevate and clearly differentiate the REALTOR® brand for consumers navigating what is often the largest financial transaction of their lives. It reinforces the value, trust, and accountability that come with working with a REALTOR®, while also serving as a reminder that NAR is here to support you just as you support, guide, and advocate for your clients every day.
Consumer Guide: Spotting Deepfake Scams in Real Estate
Cyber-enabled fraud continues to rise, with the FBI reporting $13.7 billion lost in 2024 alone. A relatively new and growing threat is deepfake technology, specifically AI-generated videos, images, or audio that convincingly mimic real people. In real estate, scammers can use deepfakes to impersonate buyers, sellers, agents, or other professionals, manipulating wiring instructions, property photos, or virtual tours to steal funds or mislead buyers.
