October 2024 NAAR Video Update
NAAR President Jessica Garard welcomes incoming President Michelle Linton to update members on key topics: promoting the value of Northern Arizona REALTORS®, NAAR endorsed City Council candidates, and a brief MLS update. NAAR Member Recognition Awards
NAAR is now accepting nominations for the following awards: Loven Leadership, Distinguished Service, and Rookie of the Year. This is an excellent opportunity to recognize outstanding individuals and achievements within our organization. We encourage you to submit nominations for individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and contributions to the real estate industry.

Loven Leadership Award
Recognizes a REALTOR® that has given 15 years of continued service and has demonstrated strong leadership and integrity in leading the Northern Arizona Association of REALTORS®. This is not an annual award.
The recipient is selected by NAAR Board of Directors. In addition to the award, a donation of $500 is made to a charitable organization of the recipient’s choice.
Distinguished Service Award
Recognizes an individual for outstanding dedication to the goals and ideals of the Real Estate Profession. To be considered, a member must be in good standing with Northern Arizona Association of REALTORS® and must not have received the award within two consecutive years. Consideration is based on the following categories: NAAR activities, business accomplishments, Realtor spirit, community service, RAPAC investor, and AAR activities and education.
The recipient will be selected by the three most recent Past Presidents of the Northern Arizona Association of REALTORS® along with the two most recent award recipients. If one of the Past Presidents is also a previous award recipient, the next most recent award recipient will be included in the selection process.
Rookie of the Year Award
Recognizes an individual agent who:
• Has been a REALTOR® for three years or less
• Served on at least one NAAR Committee; or Institutes, Societies and Council Committee
• Has achieved or is working towards a NAR certification or designation
Recipient is selected by the NAAR Board of Directors.

Gail will discuss job growth trends throughout the region and outline her initiatives to stimulate economic development within or near Flagstaff.
Sara Dechter, City of Flagstaff Comprehensive Planning Manager
Sara will provide an overview of the areas designated for residential development within the plan, including an analysis of how the plan impacts zoning regulations and broader general plan implications for residential growth.

MLS Rules and Regulations Reminder:
Please remember that per our NAMLS Rules and Regulations, you have 72 hours to make a status change to a listing (i.e. close, pending, PBK etc.).
Also, per our MLS Rules and Regulations all Residential listings within the NAMLS Service area MUST have a Supra lockbox on the property, UNLESS the sellers have stated otherwise. If that sellers have expressed their desire to not use a Supra lockbox, a copy of the contract needs to be sent over the NAAR as soon as possible.
Note: Violation fines collected by NAAR are used to fund community support activities. NAAR does not benefit from MLS fines and would like to see the number of fines reduced!
