September 2023 Newsletter

Fall is here and we are entering the fourth quarter of 2023! It is crazy to think that this is the time to start planning for 2024. Congratulations to all the members who were elected to serve on our Board of Directors next year! Thank you to all who took time out of your day to vote on your representation. Now is a great time to think about what committee you want to join.

Don’t forget to vote in this year's election. Mail in ballots should be arriving at your home if you live in the city limits of Flagstaff. The Northern Arizona Association of REALTORS® has come out in favor of Proposition 480 based on our REALTOR® values. We encourage everyone to get those ballots mailed in, and feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about why we are supporting this proposition as an association. Of course, don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions about the association in general!

Important Changes to Flex- CDOM vs ADOM Problem Solved!

Our current MLS system calculates DOM from the ‘List Date’ field in Flex. This date has always been perceived as the date the Listing Agreement is signed. Oftentimes, the agent and homeowner have additional preparation prior to public marketing.

In order to solve the CDOM vs ADOM discrepancy and to remain transparent and in compliance with Clear Cooperation, the NAAR Board of Directors have voted on a solution to add both a “Listing Agreement Date” and a “Public Marketing Date” to our Flex MLS system.

This change will take place Monday, October 2, 2023
